Irwin was born to Lyn and Bob Irwin in a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria. His father, Bob, was a plumber, and his mother, Lyn, was a nurse, but both were avid nature enthusiasts. Steve was also a martial artist and was trained in Gaidojutsu. Steve Irwin’s was born on February 22, 1962, in Essendon, near Melbourne, Australia.Her name Bindi Sue was based on Steve's favorite crocodile Bindi and a Staffordshire bull terrier named Sue.
